Should Pricey Pay?

Welcome to this weeks blog about Channel 5's hit show, Celebrity Big Brother!

Last week we asked the question Team Hopkins or Team Perez? Well this week its Team Hopkins v Team Pricey!

The big debate was whether or not Katie Price should pay for her sons transport to his school as he had to go to a school out of the area due to his disability or should she continue to allow the Government to pay the reported £1000 bill?

Harvey (Katie Prices son, whose Dad is Dwight Yorke) has been diagnosed with Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder and Oppositional Defiance Disorder, along with several other conditions and without regular medication would die.

He is taken to a school out of their area by a coach paid for by the taxpayer, and is accompanied by a specially trained nurse. Katie Price has revealed the cost of this could be approximately £1000 a day.

Katie Hopkins believes that Katie Price, whose worth an estimated £40million should foot the bill herself, but Katie Price believes that she pays her taxes, her income is variable per year and if help is available then why shouldn't she take it.

So what do you think? We think Katie Price is right, she pays her taxes just like everybody else and should be allowed to make use of this resource.

Let us know what you think!

Just as a quick note at the end of this, here is our approximate guide to what me make of the current housemates left in the house!

Faves!

Despise!

Simple Slimming Suppers! Monday 26th January 2015

I

Hello everyone, Anna here!

Welcome to this weeks Simple Slimming Suppers. This week was my 3rd weigh in since starting the Slimming World diet. This week I lost 3lbs, making my total weight loss 13lbs in 3 weeks! I'm chuffed to bits with how well the diet is working! I won't lie, when I first saw -3lbs on the scales i was slightly gutted that I was so close to a stone and hadn't quite managed it, but then I soon snapped out of it and realised that 13lbs in 3 weeks is a real achievement and I am actually now very proud of myself!! Here's hoping I get that stone next week!!

This week I have done a lot more excercise, I have been jogging and running up and down the stairs. Wow am I achy, but it's so worth it when you see the results!

From now on I will also be including Allan and Colin's weight loss journeys in these weekly posts. They are both trying to lose weight and feel that if they are in this post every week and know that you guys will all know if they dont stick to it, it will keep them going!

This week Allan lost 2lbs, making his total a 5lb loss in 3 weeks, he is doing very well and doesn't have that much to lose anyway. He has quite a physical job and gets excercise in work most days, and he is eating as healthily as he can when he is away at work and is eating the same slimming world meals as me when he is home. I am very proud of him!

This week Colin lost 1lb, making his loss -3lbs in total! He feels disappointed by this but I think any loss is a huge achievement! Colin is trying to speed up his weight loss by taking up lots more excercise and snacking less (I think snacking was everyone's downfall!). He has been doing lots more walking, going on the excercise bike on his days off and also spending some time on the wii fit. He's doing a super job!!

So now for my recipe of the week! It took me a while to pluck up the courage to make this dish as I thought it sounded a bit weird, but everyone on slimming world raves about it so I bit the bullet last night and made it. Well O.M.G am I glad I did! It was delicious and well worth making, don't be put off just because it sounds strange, you will love it!

Diet coke chicken!

Ingredients

1 tsp Mixed herbs
1 Onion
8 tbsp Passatta
2 cloves Garlic
Fry light
1 tbsp Worcester sauce
1 tbsp Dark soy sauce
200ml Chicken stock
1 packet of Diced chicken
1 Green pepper
1 Yellow pepper
330ml can diet coke
4tbsp Tomato purée
Bag of Sugar snap peas
1 Teaspoon chilli fakes (optional, we just like our food a bit spicy)
Rice

Method

1) start by chopping the onions and peppers and crushing the garlic cloves.

2) spray a saucepan with fry light and fry the onion, peppers and garlic for about 5 mins or until slightly brown.

3) add the mixed herbs, Passatta, Worcester sauce, soy sauce, stock, can of coke, tomato purée and chilli flakes, turn heat to medium, cover and let simmer for 12 mins.

4) after 12 mins add sugar snap peas and let simmer for 10 more mins.

5) take the sauce off the heat, keep covered.

6) In a separate pan,  spray with fry light and stir fry chicken until almost cooked.

7) add sauce and allow to simmer until chicken is fully cooked.

8) Meanwhile, cook some boil in the bag rice whilst the chicken is cooking.

9) once rice and chicken are cooked through, serve and enjoy!

This was definitely one of our favourite slimming world recipes yet. Do let me know if you try it, I'd love to know if you wether you enjoyed it as much as us! Also, feel free to share any slimming world recipes you may have, I'm always looking for new things to try!

See you next week!
Anna

The Weekend Review- Sunday 25th January 2015

Welcome to this weeks "The Weekend Review with the Hocks!"

The start of this week was all very normal for The Hocks, work and school, boring boring boring! Although we did get some good news from Rosies teacher that Rosie is doing particularly well with her maths work which we were very pleased to hear!! Also, Colin's market stall "Mind Games Southport" has had a big delivery of brand new stock meaning that they had a very good and busy week this week!! You can visit Mind Games Southports blog and take a look at some of their new stock here mindgamessouthport.blogspot.co.uk

However, the week took a turn for the worst on Thursday evening/Friday morning when Rosie fell ill overnight with a very bad chest and high temperature. Anna took her to the doctors on Friday morning and she was diagnosed with a chest infection and was prescribed antibiotics. Allan arrived home from work on Friday evening (allan works away from home Monday to Friday) and whereas Rosie would usually run around the house with him for hours all she wanted to do was sit on the sofa and do nothing. Rosie just got worse and worse throughout the evening but luckily after her antibiotics and some calpol plus a nice visit from Grandad Eifion and Gran Lynne, she seemed to settle down, her temperature eased a little and she managed to get to sleep.

After a good nights sleep Rosie woke up on Saturday morning feeling a bit brighter. Earlier in the week Allan and Anna had decided that it was time to buy a new car, so they headed over to Southport with Rosie to see Tommy, Michelle and Colin and go and buy one!! At first we all went to the car showroom to look at the cars but the cold wind was triggering Rosies cough off again and making her miserable so she went back to Tommy and Michelle's house with her nana and Anna, Allan, Tommy and Colin spent the day looking around the car showrooms. In the end Anna and Allan decided on a beautiful Kia Rio 2 in red that looks just like this.....

Sexy huh?? They are very very happy with it and can't wait to pick it up, hopefully next weekend!! Rosie has seen the picture and very much approves !!

Today (Sunday) Tommy, Michelle and Colin went to Wrexham to Anna, Allan and Rosies house. There were a few bits in the house that Allan needed Tommys help with and Tommy and Michelle also wanted to buy a new booster seat to go in their car for Rosie. We had a phonecall from Eifion to say that his iPad screen had gone funny and did any of us know what the problem could be. After searching on the Internet we decided to go round to Lynne and Eifions house to look at the ipad in person. When we looked at it, the screen was all red and blurry, we thought at first it looked like water damage but it hadn't been anywhere near water. However Eifion did say that it had fallen off the bed a few days before. We thought that it had been damaged from the fall but after a few smacks on the back of it and taking it out of its case and turning it over very quickly it all of a sudden just went back to normal, it was most strange!! But if this ever happens to your iPad we strongly recommend trying that before taking it straight to a repair man!! It could save you a hell of a lot of money!!

After coming back from Lynne and Eifions house Anna, Allan, Tommy, Michelle, Colin and Rosie headed off to halfords to look at booster seats for Rosie. After buying some booster seats we headed off to Currys to look for some new appliances to go in Tommy and Michelle's kitchen. We then all came back to Anna and Allans house and watched a film before Tommy, Michelle and Colin headed off home.

All in all not a bad week apart from Rosies couple or poorly days!!

See you next week!
xx

Hopkins or Hilton?

So its Friday, And its time to update you all on our views of Big Brother.

The Big Question is though, Whose side are you on?

Team Katie Hopkins or Team Perez Hilton?

Well, I can safely say The Hocks are on Team Hopkins!

When she entered the house we all had a preconception of her being a nasty troll who had made herself famous by being horrible and vile about people. However, On Celebrity Big Brother, nearly everything she has said has been completely true.

As for Perez he is playing the biggest game a celebrity has ever played on the show. Depending upon which of his sides comes out depends on how vile he is.

I don't think he quite understands the rules, the rules are people are voted out by the general public, the rules are not for Perez to get everyone chucked out because "He doesn't feel safe" or walk out because they can no longer cope with his vileness, stupidity and immaturity.

If we were to split the house up into Team Hopkins v Team Perez, this is approx. how it would be;

Team Perez

Team Hopkins

So its clear to see, in the house Team Hopkins Wins and with the Hocks Team Hopkins wins but what about you? Let us Know!
