Hocks A to Z - B is for Bryn Howel

B - BRYN HOWEL

Hey Everyone welcome to the 2nd instalment of our Hocks A to Z posts. This time its the letter B and we wanted to tell you all about a very special place for the Hocks - the +Bryn Howel Hotel  in Llangollen

The reason this is such a special place to us is because it is where Allan and Anna got Married, and it was the perfect location and went so well hanks to its marvellous staff.

The Bryn Howel was built in the late 19th century next to The Llangollen Canal, this was during the reign of Queen Victoria,  and was built as the country home of Mr Edwards and his family.
Mr Edwards was a businessman who owned quarries, brick and tile works locally, which were important industries in North Wales at the time.

The Bryn Howel has been sympathetically changed from a family home to the beautiful and well appointed hotel it is today with every facility that is expected by visitors from all around the world whilst the original features and the ambiance of the country house have been retained. The wood-panelled residents bar still has the original log fire and the Welsh Anthem inscribed over the traditional fireplace as well as it’s celebrated ornate ceiling. The whole hotel is Simply Stunning.

The Bryn Howel won the 2015 Certificate of Excellence award from +TripAdvisor As of today (25/05/15) the Bryn Howel has had 346 reviews on the site and 281 of them are very good or Excellent.

Here are some pictures from when we were there for Allan and Anna's wedding

We really couldn't recommend the  +Bryn Howel Hotel enough for a wedding location and a hotel. the food, the setting, the staff, the rooms, the reception, everything was perfect and that was in a large part due to the management and staff at the hotel.

So that's our letter B - Bryn Howel
