Happy Birthday Allan!

Today (4th Jan) Is Allan's 33rd birthday! We woke up bright and early so that we would have time to have a snuggle, breakfast in bed and for him to open his presents before the rest of The Hocks arrived! Allan seemed really happy with his presents and very much enjoyed his croissants and coffee in bed which we were very pleased about, he works so hard he deserves them!!

We got up and got our glad rags on ready to go out for a meal with the rest of The Hocks. We had booked a table in the lovely "Grosvenor Pulford Hotel" last week and had been looking forward to it so we set off early and had a drink before ordering our meal. We all ordered starters and they were lovely, although I have to say I wish I had ordered the chicken wings like Michele and Colin because I tasted one and they were AMAZING! Rosie had melon to start and was very unimpressed that there was raspberry coulis on it. Even though she LOVES raspberries she refused to try it and made us scrape it off before she would eat the melon, fussy monkey!

Our main courses were also lovely. I had a Welsh Lamb Burger, which I must admit I struggled with because it was MASSIVE, My dad ate half of it. Lynne, Eifion and Allan had lamb shank which looked delicious and judging by the 3 clear plates they must have tasted delicious too. Michelle also had the lamb burger, Colin had fajitas and Tommy had chilli con carne. Like me, they all struggled because although yummy,  the meals we're such big portions. Rosie had fish and chips which looked very yummy.

We had a break before ordering pudding. The puddings were very very tasty but again, nobody could finish them. Eyes bigger than our bellies!! We had a bit of a laugh when out of nowhere Lynne announced that her trifle tasted like onions. She then decided "it doesn't taste like onions actually".. And she hadn't even had a drink! Crazy woman!

After the meal we all came back to our house of an hour, watched the football and had some quality Hocks time before everyone went home and Rosie went to bed early because she was shattered.

It's been a lovely day and most importantly I think the birthday boy really enjoyed himself. We are going to spend the rest of the night watching films under the blanket. Luvvly Jubbly.

Much Love
Anna
