Its Saturday!

Hey Everyone,


Welcome to an extra post this week! Firstly, we want to say a huge thank you to +Epilepsy Research UK for sharing our blog post with all their Fans and Followers, I know Anna is absolutely delighted that #epilepsy is starting to be talked about by people and if her post has helped 1 person understand epilepsy more then her objective will have been achieved!


Now, Why the Extra post I hear you ask? Well I want to explain what the hocks are up to this coming week.


We are all off, yes, all 8 of us, to +Center Parcs UK #WhinfellForest early on Monday Morning and for that reason the regular blog posts will not be published next week at all.

But do not worry as The Hocks are trying something a little different and we will be Vlogging! For those that don't know what that is it is where we will post a video on YouTube about our time in Whinfell Forest. 

The reason we have decided to do this is because we watch the Vlogs from +geoffnotjeff and +Anna Brim when they have been and have really enjoyed them and so we have decided as neither of these have vlogged from Whinfell we would give it a go!

So each day we are there we will record ourselves and take pictures and videos of what we do and we will post them late evening every evening, Fridays Vlog however may appear on the Saturday as we will be travelling home.

So, to watch these Vlogs all you need to do is head over to +YouTube Search for "The Hocks" Find our channel which has the picture below as its profile and then in to top right hand corner click Subscribe!

We hope you will enjoy these Vlogs and we hope they allow you to see why we love Whinfell Forest so much and the whole Center Parcs Ethos. We also hope it will allow you to get to know us all even more after our Getting to Know series was so popular.

Hey Everyone, Firstly I just want to thank everybody that has read Anna's blog post about her living with her epilepsy, its turned out to be one of the most read posts we've had and hopefully raises the awareness she was after. If you haven't read it yet, Click Here

I also want to remind you all that Next Week the Hocks are on Holiday at Center Parcs in Whinfell Forest, Which for those that don't know is in Penrith. We will keep in touch with everyone during this holiday, but via our new +YouTube Channel. Now to this weeks Top of the Hocks Post, This is the first one of these ive done for a while, so i hope you enjoy it!

1) Website of the Week

After the post about Anna's epilepsy im going to go with a website that is out there to advise and support epilepsy sufferers. www.epilepsy.org.uk is the website of Epilepsy Action. it has some brilliant resources such as First Aid for Epilepsy - a section for people to learn exactly what to do when a sufferer is having a fit / Seizure. 

2) TV Programme of the week

This week im going to go with a favourite of a lot of the Hocks on daytime TV and that's +Escape To The Country Its shown on BBC TV on weekday afternoons and involves people who live in the city wanting to move out into the countryside. They set the Presenters a budget and a wish list and then go and see 3 houses, then they get shown a mystery house which doesn't conform to their wish list. At the end of each house tour they have to guess the Price of the house. I think we all like it because we are a little nosey!! 

3) Joke of the Week

Teacher: Kids, What does the Chicken Give you?

Student: Meat Miss

Teacher: Very Good! Now what does the Pig Give you?

Student: Bacon Miss

Teacher: Great! and what does the Fat cow give you?

Student: HOMEWORK! 

4) Song of the Week

Well how can it not be as we are off to +Center Parcs UK in a couple of days time! Its American Authors with Best day of my life!

It had to be one off our brand new Youtube Channel. This one was introducing us to Youtube made by Anna

7) Picture of the Week

This Week Colin Michelle and Tommy went to London for 4 nights and Tommy made us walk everywhere, this was michelle after 40,000 steps!

8) Movie of the Week

As ive just mentioned we went to London and while we were there we went and watched +MAMMA MIA! The Musical and it was absolutely brilliant, So it has to be the Film of the week too

9) Shop of the Week

This week im going to go with another London Theme and that's +Hamleys of London Toys 

It was stunning in there and any kids dream, i have to say the prices were not as bad as i thought they were going to be and the staff work hard to bring fun to the shop too, so if your ever in London, Visit it as it truly is an experience!

10) Family Restaurant of the Week

This week im going to say +SUBWAY Restaurants From salads to foot long sandwiches there really is something for everyone and you can make it as healthy or as unhealthy as you like!
