Hello everyone, Anna here! Welcome to this weeks A to Z post! This week we are on the letter N which we have decided to use as an opportunity to update you on the Newest Member of The Hocks, our puppy Milo!
We have had Milo exactly 9 weeks today and my, has he grown in those 9 weeks!..
The first picture was taken on the day we brought Milo home and the second was taken only a few days ago. As you can see, he's growing very nicely and is still just as beautiful as ever!
Milo has settled into our family wonderfully. He is loving, cuddly, caring and has the funniest little personality! He genuinely sulks if you tell him no! He lies on the floor, takes a deep sigh then looks up at you with those big puppy eyes to try and make you feel guilty for saying no to him, and boy does it work!! Little monkey he is!
Milo has been attending puppy classes and is picking up all his training really well, in fact, they use him a lot to demonstrate with as he is so good as doing what they tell him to do! Milo does still jump up and get very over excited (he does settle back down after about 5 minutes though) when new people arrive at the house which the trainer have said is very normal and he should grow out of. It can be frustrating though so if any fellow doggy owners have any tips on how to nip this in the bud we would love to hear your advice!
Milo is doing great with house training and we rarely have any accidents in the house any more and he sleeps all night brilliantly without any problems. He has also started to lose his baby teeth now!
I can safely say we are all very very much in love with the new member of our family and are so happy we bit the bullet and got him. It took Rosie and I a long time to get Allan to agree to have a dog and he was really unsure as he was never a huge dog lover before. But now we have Milo, Allan wouldn't be without him. He loves him just as much as Rosie and I do, we knew he would :) !
The best thing about Milo (apart from the obvious fact that we get to look at that gorgeous little face regularly!) is the unconditional love we receive from him. He adores us just as much as we adore him.. And then some! It is such a lovely start to the day when you come downstairs to his happy little face and wagging tail obviously so happy to see us. He regularly comes onto our knees for big cuddles and kisses!
Rosie has been unwell the past few weeks with a nasty case of croup which then turned into an awful chest and throat infection. Milo showed her lots of love and protection and regularly snuggled up on the sofa with her to try and look after her, it was so lovely to see that he cares about her so much..
