Llangollen is a small and picturesque town in Denbighshire, north-east Wales, situated on the River Dee and on the edge of the Berwyn mountains. Llangollen has everything you could want for a family day out including walks along the river, restaurants, outdoor play areas, cafes, gift shops and lots of attractions to keep you busy! Llangollen doesn't have to be an expensive day out as just walking around taking in the beauty of this little town is more than enough to keep you occupied for hours! Also, Llangollen is where Anna and Allan got married!

Llangollen Wharf Horse Drawn Boat Trips
Enjoy a soothing horse drawn boat trip along one of the most beautiful canals in the world.myou really will feel as if you've gone back in time!

Llangollen Railway
Take a trip on a real old fashioned steam train! You will able to sit back and take in the beautiiful views of the Dee Valleys whilst you make your way to Corwen and back!

Castell Dinas Bran "Crow Castle"
Make the steep climb up the pathway high above Llangollen where you will be able to take in the breathtaking views of the remains of this once great castle and the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Hard work to get there but the views more than make up for it!

There are lots of places to eat and drink in Llangollen from little cafes to fancy restaurants. However, if you are trying to keep costs down it is just as pleasurable taking a picnic and sitting down to eat it in the riverside park whilst you take in all the lovely scenery. Bliss!
With Llangollen being under half an hours drive from where Anna, Allan and Rosie live, we have been to Llangollen lots of times and we can honestly say it really is a wonderful day out. It is beautiful, relaxing and it is always a joy to visit. We will never get bored of it!
