E is For Eifion!
Hey everyone! Welcome to this weeks Hocks A to Z post! This week we are on the letter E which we have decided is going to be for Eifion!
Eifion was born on 15th October 1962 in Wrexham. Due to his fathers work he spent some of his early childhood living in both Yorkshire and Ireland before moving back to Wrexham where they stayed.
Eifion grew up with his Mother Meryl, Father Geoff, Brother Geraint and their pets Shep and Glen the dogs and Tizer the cat (who thought he was a dog!).
Eifion had a close group of friends growing up, some of whom he is still extremely close to now, this is how he met his wife Lynne.
When eifion was in his later teens he became very unwell with excruciating headaches. This went on quite a while before doctors discovered he had a brain tumour that had more than likely been growing since birth. Luckily, it was benign and the amazing doctors in Walton Hospital in Liverpool managed to operate on it and got rid of it. However, still to this day it has left him with problems such as epilepsy and headaches. He doesn't let this get to him though!
In their early 20s Eifion and Lynne got married and a number of years later they had Anna.
Eifion spent most of his adult life working for the Legal Aid Services Commission in Chester before his office closed last year. Eifion was offered a job in Liverpool but decided he would rather take voluntary redundancy.
Eifion is a big lover of sports, particularly Rugby and of course he supports WALES!
He is also very interested in music and likes all kinds of genres. His favourite band is without a doubt REM and he has been to see them twice with Anna and Lynne.
Eifion loves travelling and spending time with his and Lynne's group of friends. Eifion and Lynne also have a very good friendship with Tommy and Michelle.
One of his favourite things to do is spend time with his Granddaughter, Rosie..
