Hello Everyone and Welcome to this weeks Hocks Summer Holidays!
Firstly, we would just like to say THANK YOU to everyone who viewed last weeks +Center Parcs UK post. It is by far our most popular blog post so far and this makes us very happy as Center Parcs holds a lot of happy family memories for us.
This week we have decided to tell you all about a short break in Chessington World Of Adventures.
+Chessington World of Adventures Resort is a huge Adventure Resort located in Chessington, Surrey. Chessington has endless things to do and explore (which we will tell you about in a minute!) and offers both day trips and short breaks. Day trips in Chessington start from £26pp if you book online in advance, saving you up to £20 off the gate price. But as this is Hocks Holidays we have of course chosen to tell you all about a short break at Chessington! We are going to tell you all about a weekend (2 nights) at Chessington in August and as usual will be basing prices on a family of 4 consisting of 2 adults and 2 children!
Firstly, lets take a look at what there is to do at Chessington World Of Adventures!
Chessington Theme Park!
Chessington is very well known for its large theme park. The theme park includes 10 differed themed lands and over 40 rides and attractions! Here are just a few of the rides and attractions that Chessington has to offer..
Scorpion Express.
Chessington say "The Scorpion Express rollercoaster is a fun ride for all the family and brave young adventurers can experience their first rollercoaster thrill. Watch out for surprises at every turn including fire and water effects, as with unstable mines guarded by the giant Scorpion anything could happen – try not to get too close!"
Vampire.
Chessington say "Just like a bat out of hell, this family-friendly rollercoaster (height restriction only 1.1 metres) gets you soaring through the skies and flying over the treetops with your legs dangling below you. It’s fang-tastic and once bitten, you’ll want to fly again and again."
Dragon Falls.
Chessington say "Climb aboard your boat for a adventurous cruise through the winding rivers, the dips and gentle rapids of the Mystic East. And just when you think the river has been tamed, hold on tight because you’re in for a surprise when you reach… the falls."
Bubbleworks.
Chessington say "You’ll laugh, you’ll smile, you’ll sing along on this frothy, foamy, family fun ride. Safe inside your ‘bubble tub’, you’ll float through chutes passing fantastical animated scenes, en route to a grand finale of fountains arching overhead."
Children shorter than 1.10m must be accompanied by an adult.
Hocus Pocus Hall.
Chessington say "Expect the unexpected and ghostly goings-on as you make your way through this phantasmagorical 4-D experience, housed in Chessington’s haunted mansion. Watch out for the wizard and mischievous goblins – the crazy tenants of Hocus Pocus Hall."
Tiny Truckers.
Chessington say "We’ve scaled down our kings of the road so that even little adventurers can get behind the wheel in this colourful convoy of trucks."
Dragons Playhouse.
Chessington say "Pint-sized adventurers can have the time of their lives, climbing, bouncing and exploring in Chessington’s huge soft play centre."

Chessington's theme park also has a number of restaurants and gift shops to enjoy. These include Vampires Burger Kitchen. Fried Chicken Co, Market Square Pizza, Fish & Chips, Mexican Cantina,
Asian Ices, Mystic Hot Dogs, Fangtasia Gift Shop and Stubbs Sweet Shop to name a few!
Chessington Zoo

Sea Life Centre.
The next attraction in Chessington is their Sea Life Centre. Chessington say "Our SEA LIFE centre is packed full of fun exhibitions, including interactive rock pools, daily talks and feeding sessions as well as a breathtaking walkthrough ocean tunnel."

Chessington Safari Hotel (72% thumbs up on TripAdvisor).
The first hotel to choose from in Chessington World Of Adventures is their Safari Themed Hotel.
There are a number of fantasic facilities that this hotel has to offer including..
Exclusive evening access to Wanyama Village & Reserve where you can take a nice evening walk watching all the African animals roaming freely around the reserve before they go to bed.
Swimming Pool and Gym consisting of a 15 metre pool and a fully air conditioned gym.
Savannah Splash where you can go wild in this family splash zone!
